The Scottish Enlightenment
Pitter patter…
Important things are happening in The Scottish Enlightenment. Not like ‘we wrote a new song’ important. Like the ‘whole world created anew’ important. Guitarist Dave and his lucky lucky wife are awaiting el bamino (or el nino, as the wry voice of experience would say, smugly). This is really important, because everything you have ever known started when you were born and will end when you die. All that, which is all you can ever refer to as ‘the world’, will be recreated in this new life. See? Important as hell. Maybe.
The above may be guff. Ask Jean Paul et al. But Dave is definitely on paternity leave for August.
So to celebrate the new arrival, the three of us who remain, joined by our co-conspirator Dan Lyth, will be playing some of our tunes a bit differently at Henry’s Cellar, Morrison Street, Edinburgh on the 19th August. Say, 8pm? The best bit about this is that Martin John Henry, who needs no introductions, and the galaxy channeling wizard Debutant will be playing too. See you there?
More gigs to come after that, all in good time.
Hugs n that
The Scottish Enlightenment
