August gigs

Lovers,

We want to take a little break from all this recording on sunny days and play some shows. But our work ethic commands us to see this creative chunk through to it’s perfectly realised end. Our modular approach to genius pays off then, as that means August will be free for live music making, if only people will have us. Of course we can count on the welcoming bosom of our Armellodean family, thus:

Saturday 4th August at Captains Rest, Glasgow

LE RENO AMPS
CUDDLY SHARK
THE SCOTTISH ENLIGHTENMENT
TRAPPED MICE

We’ll iron out the finer points of presenting our overblown Wagnerian mountain opera on stage later.

And hopefully have some others lined up soon.

Orogeny

The mountaineering album, fabled, is our bag these days and is coming along at a moderate canter. We fully expect to leak new stuff by the height of summer, although we may get distracted. The world is such a wonderful place it’s all too easy for four young musical workmen to get sidetracked.

But as it stands we’ve made headway with the following new lines and routes;
Come North in Winter Old Men
Going Strong for the Top
Direttissima
Crevasse
Colin from Balgown

Now, gigs. We keep getting very kind invites to play at some lovely venues and nights, and please do keep asking, but our weekly rehearsal nigh on breaks the time bank as it is. We need to figure it out though, so maybe by spring we’ll have a show or two.

Keep in touch, lovers
